Ultimate Challenge Mode final is too hard - needs rebalance

Completely agree. Ive only managed to beat the match twice but the buffs and nerfs are just too much.

It is bad enough when I struggle in head to heads to get tackles right, passing, and skills... but the AI is just too much in this match.

What is the point in having an OVR 122 team maxed out to level 30 and nerf the controls to make them feel like OVR 30 level 1. It is like being Man City one minute then Altrincham Athletic the next!

Do we get the rewards if we withdraw 

This was passed on as it's ridiculously hard, even hardcore players have been struggling. I managed to score one goal and maintain possession, but there was no room to take a shot, even Messi with the finesse can't beat the GK.

Keep in mind that historically these challenges have not been changed/corrected midweek, but with a new event/week reset, so chances of that being changed are minimal. So as v7btj1i23t8s said, withdraw if you need 4.5k gems now, or keep trying until it expires on a weekly reset. 

My biggest beef isn’t even the difficulty of the opposing players (which, I agree, is a bit extreme), it’s that there is an obvious delay/sluggishness to my inputs. This isn’t a user v user situation so there shouldn’t be any latency. Which leads one to conclude that EA is delaying user inputs as a tool to simulate difficulty. I’ve posted about this before and I’ll reiterate: This is a lousy/lazy way to code. It’s annoying in that it means the team you’ve labored/paid to build performs inconsistently from one match to the next. Just boost the speed and/or IQ of the opposing team, but EA needs to stop inserting itself between users and their players.

Well at least you have managed to win twice, I’ve played over 40 matches and still can’t win, thee was one match where I managed to to get to extra time and penalties but lost, I must say the penalty shoot out is an absolute disgrace, so one sided and scripted beyond belief, I took 3 penalties and missed them all, frustrating and mentally exhausting, unless you have a squad that has all play style upgrade you haven’t got a cat in hells chance of winning, it makes you want to quit this game, thank you ea for causing me such a headache.

Now you have to play against a squad with 'playstyles'. The most ridiculous event currently for effort v reward!

I gave up after a few times and my feedback via mod path on it was pretty blunt as it was ridiculously difficult (i think its 1st time in years i just didnt bother to complete)

Now the new challenges with the new event, can you give it a go and let me know how it goes?

The final still sucks. In fact, I notice no change this week. The keeper is out of his mind (I literally had 10 on-frame shots saved in one match). Defenders are super aggressive, while all of my players feel heavy and slow to react (as in, user inputs appear to be intentionally delayed). I managed to complete the final last week on my third try, but I’ve tried five times this week without success, so am calling it quits.

Honestly, I’m pretty fed up with EA at this point. The update is really poor IMHO — gameplay is sludgy and the rewards in this new event are all pretty underwhelming. You throw in this ultimate challenge stuff, and it just makes me wonder whether anyone at the company ever actually plays the game under real world conditions like we do. Meanwhile, they are charging more than ever ($300 to claim Rondaldinho?!). Frustrating, insulting, discouraging…take your pick.

I always have to forfeit in the final because the match is way too hard and its impossible to win it.

The cost of upgrading the old box/signature cards has been passed on, as, yes, it's on the ridiculous side of things.

The gameplay is being worked on per Fish's update in the stream, so we just need to see what fixes are applied once the potential patch comes. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later. It will be a rather complex issue to fix, I'd imagine.

I finished the current challenge on a first go except for game 6, where my 125 lineup lost quite badly., It's easier than last week, but I can see that it's more difficult than it used to be, as you could autoplay it until the last 2-3 games most of the time. Semi was interesting, a 6-5 win in ET, and the final was equally annoying with a 4-3 win in ET.
