I notice no difference in this week’s final compared to last. Opponent is still overpowered and my players are so obviously nerfed and my inputs delayed than it’s laughable. I’ve tried and lost three matches and am done wasting my time.
I’m sick and tired of EA’s manipulative BS. They’ve already erected a massive paywall around meta players, must they now claw back each and every other earned reward (including the last 500 gems in the weekly ultimate challenge)??? I’ve labored for 18 months to construct a 124 OVR squad. Only a few weeks ago I could claim all of the ultimate challenge rewards, but now, in their greed, EA has placed even that out of my reach. Why? (Other than as a means of twisting my arm into spending more on my squad?)
I’m honestly a hair’s breadth away from quitting for good. FCM feels less and less fun with nearly every new update. They can’t seem to strike a decent balance between playability, realism, consistency and fairness for mobile. All the while the greed on display just grows more and more transparent and calculated. I’ve been an EA user for more than 30 years, but I’ve become truly disgusted with this company over the last 18 months. The priority used to be making the game look and feel like the real-life game. Now it’s just a brutally manipulative quest to monetize anything and everything and to keep clawing back value from customers until everyone in the community has either fled or been converted into a mindless drone pumping coins into the FCM slot machine. Because, let’s face it, that’s what FCM has become. It’s less and less about having fun playing football and more and more about chasing a dopamine hit attached to winning cards from a football-themed slot machine — a slot machine whose buy-in goes up and up even as the payout goes down and down.
I love playing football. I’m not a gambling addict and I don’t plan to become one. That being the case, it just doesn't seem like I fit with EA’s FCM target demographic.
