Investigation Request: Game Performance and Potential Cheating

A strong 4G signal only means you're close to a cell tower—it doesn't guarantee good performance. What really matters is the tower's capacity, its backhaul connection to your provider, and your provider’s peering with the rest of the internet (among a few other things like exact location and distances).

Regarding the cheating issue—it could be due to a hack, but it could also be related to your connection, your opponent’s connection, or even the server itself. Without proper logs, it's all just speculation.

That said, the problem of well-known cheaters is real, but the forum isn’t the right place to post screenshots of players you suspect. It’s better to report them through the official support channels (in-game announcement icon).

I'm having the same problem. I send reports and nothing happens. Sometimes, they delete posts about cheating. I took some screenshots that show how serious the situation is in the game. This has been happening frequently in Division Rivals 1x1. There are no channels to report it. The game's “customer service” doesn't respond, and when we complain on the forum, we are ignored.

It's unacceptable and inappropriate. Are there people manipulating the game, or is EA itself putting bots in to force us to “spend” in the game?

Look at the screenshots below: does it make sense to have a card that doesn't exist? Or is there a GER 40 in the game? This is crazy. It's cheating.

This is becoming unhealthy, and I think we should take a closer look at what EA has been doing.

If an online game has so many connection problems, maybe it needs to be rethought, right? Hahaha. That sounds funny, it's always the connection and never cheating. Come on, kid, let's play honestly here.

You're combining several separate issues here, which only adds confusion rather than helping move the conversation forward.

Yes, cheating and exploiting exist in every online multiplayer game—especially when real money is involved. That’s not up for debate. But EA is required to follow legal and compliance standards, meaning players must be treated as innocent until proven otherwise. This is why public accusations and name-and-shame posts aren’t allowed on these forums, even if something looks suspicious.

That said, EA needs to be held to a much higher standard. Long-standing bugs and design issues keep slipping through, and testing under agile delivery clearly isn’t catching enough. Players deserve better from a game this size and this profitable.

Here is also another side of the coin often ignored—some users themselves don’t help. Emotional reactions, wild accusations, and zero understanding of how the systems work just add noise. It makes it harder for real issues to get addressed. 
Before calling for system-wide changes or suggesting how things should be handled, it's important to recognize the complexity of the network and infrastructure behind a live service title like this. What may appear simple from a player’s perspective is often far more complex behind the scenes and not so easily resolved or even feasible.

Regarding the screenshot—who does it belong to, you or someone else? There’s a known visual bug where incorrect lineups are displayed and/or used. If that’s what you’re seeing, the best thing to do is submit a proper support ticket (Discord server for FCM has it listed as bug "75 - Getting the wrong lvl lineup despite properly choosing") 
That’s the only way for the issue to be tracked and potentially resolved. Speculation on the forum won’t get it fixed.

These aren't speculations, they're facts. If the forum isn't for us to report errors and get an idea of whether this is affecting everyone or just one user, what is the EA forum for? Customer service rarely responds, and when it does, it refers us to the forum. So what's wrong with seeking discussion with other users about issues that affect everyone's gameplay? Most people are tired of this kind of situation. It's never EA's fault, it's always something from beyond—aliens, perhaps?

Some issues are a direct EA fault, some are outside of their control. Not everything annoying is a fault,  a cheat or a bug. 

Forums like this is one way to feedback, there is also discord server dedicated to this game and there is ea support via ingame.

What i am saying, to provide effective feedback you need to focus on facts and leave emotion and speculation out of it then you can have a robust conversation. This thread alone has assumptions from OP and others posting so I am trying to explain the basics so you can get effective support.

So in this thread the facts are, game got disconnected and one of players had displayed low ovr yet supposedly had 110. And op said strong signal. Thats it

Assumptions are  mobile network is fast (no proof, not even a screenshot of  speed test or how many bars), this is without going into complexicity how the internet works, or vsrious provider networks peer to play the game so you can have a PVP H2H match.

Then you got assumptions about cheating with no actual proof ( logs from EA server). Then the bug is also an assumption because not enough info has been provided but it does look like acknowledged bug.

As to a lack of timely responses, i cant comment as i dont work there. But any helpdesk has tiering structure so to be heard, leave emotions out, stick to facts you can prove, you'll save a lot of time and frustration. And remember its only a game..

It's not our jobs to come with proof, that's EAs job. We can only tell them that something is not right. If people don't make "noise" problems are not solved. There is a saying: the baby doesn't get food if he doesn't cry. And maybe you forgot that no more than a month the first 100 positions in h2h were occupied by teams with 90 ovr. A lot of us are playing this game for years, we can tell when something is unnatural. We understand that there can be some issues with the network, some issues in design or coding. What bothers us is the feeling that EA is actually using this excuse in their favour and they actually promote a gameplay that encourages the abuse of glitches. Two days ago the gameplay was similar with the recent beta gameplay. The gameplay was based on passes and defending was not so much influenced by the AI. Next day they put this gameplay that encourages lob passes over the defence and everyone is using auto play, auto pass and auto change of the players. 90% of the goals are scored when the ball jumps from one of the defenders. There are a lot of problems in the game that are not just minor errors or how the developer imagine the game and it makes the game hard to enjoy. I don't think I will continue playing the game any more. If this is how they think we should play this game I am sorry but is not for me anymore. Just keeping the sprint button and leave the AI do the defending and on attack send high balls over the defence and in the end to loose be abuse after tackling the same player three times in a row to see tha the ball keeps jumping to him it's a little bit frustrating. And what is even more frustrating is that we know they do have a better version of the game but it's like they don't want to use it.

First, it’s not up to players to “prove” anything. Your role is to report what looks wrong—EA investigates, not the community. But players also need to understand the differences between bugs, exploits, and cheats. Many don’t. And let’s be clear: public name-and-shame posts aren’t just unhelpful—they’re borderline defamatory, and EA is required to remove them to stay compliant with legal and platform rules.

Cheating and exploitation have been an issue since Season 1 and won’t go away overnight. Even with a working anti-cheat (which the game appears to lack), it’s a game of whack-a-mole—ban one, and another pops up. That hurts honest players and EA alike, but that’s the reality of _any_ live multiplayer games.

Yes, feedback is necessary—but the kind that actually helps isn’t emotional outbursts or ultimatums like “fix it or I quit” or “give me a refund.” That’s not feedback, it’s venting. If it’s not clear, factual, and structured, it gets ignored—and rightfully so.

As for gameplay logic: the game runs on a complex engine driven entirely by conditional code. If X happens, the engine triggers Y or Z based on how it’s programmed. There’s no human judgment in the moment. So when something feels broken—like weird deflections, missed fouls, or odd AI decisions—it’s not a dev sitting behind a desk choosing that. It’s logic that’s failing under certain conditions, which leads to bugs. But devs can’t just “fix” one issue without risking new ones elsewhere. Breaking the engine to patch a specific scenario isn’t an option—it often creates worse downstream problems, and always ends up being a balancing act of sorts. That’s true for FCM and any other software.

Yes, EA’s communication is vague most of the time, and that only fuels more speculation. But people forget: they also have to protect their IP and core logic, especially to prevent giving hackers insight into how to exploit it further. That lack of transparency isn’t always malicious but it will create conspiracy theories.

So yeah, I’m being a bit of a devil’s advocate here. On one hand, I really want this game to reach the potential it clearly has—ideally without the current state where exploiting skill spam wins games, irritating pack luck and inconsistent progression and "other enhancements".  But on the other hand, I also understand the technical and logistical dilemmas EA (and any software developer) faces. Quite often, it's not as simple as flipping a switch.

All this yet no direct solution to the issue raised, or even promise of looking into the issue raised. Apparently, not even a single EA technical crew to speak to all this. I can't help but wonder. 

Did you list the troubleshooting for your network? To rule that out?

Did you report the said player in game?

Did you record the game to show the cheating?

Etc.
