Game Crash Issue — FIFA 23 & FIFA 25 (Blue Screen / AntiCheat.sys)

Issue Summary:

I’m experiencing persistent and critical issues when attempting to launch FIFA 23 and the recently purchased FIFA 25 on my PC. Both games crash without any error messages or warnings, and frequently trigger a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) shortly after launch.

The BSOD occasionally references the file AntiCheat.sys, which strongly suggests a conflict with EA’s anti-cheat system. This happens consistently, despite having a fully updated system and clean installations of both games.

Troubleshooting Steps Already Taken:

  • BIOS updated to the latest non-beta version
  • Verified and repaired game files (via EA App / Steam)
  • Installed the latest NVIDIA GPU drivers
  • Disabled Core Isolation (Memory Integrity) in Windows Security
  • Running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit – Version 23H2, fully updated
  • No conflicting software (e.g., MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, iCUE)
  • Clean reinstall of FIFA 23 and FIFA 25
  • System temperatures and voltages are stable
  • XMP profile disabled in BIOS – RAM running at 4800 MHz (default)

Despite all these steps, the issue remains unresolved.

PC Specifications:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-14700K
  • GPU: MSI RTX 4070 Ti Suprim X
  • RAM: 64GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5200MHz RGB (XMP disabled, running at 4800 MHz)
  • Motherboard: MSI PRO Z790-P WiFi
  • Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD
  • Cooling: MSI MAG Coreliquid M360
  • Power Supply: Cooler Master MWE 850W Gold
  • Case: MAG Forge 320R Airflow
  • OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (23H2)

If anyone from EA or the community has any suggestions — especially regarding potential conflicts with EA AntiCheat — I would really appreciate your input.

Thanks!
