I just got hit with the same ban on Christmas Eve and all I did was complete the Team Diamond set. I filed an appeal and it was denied with the same boilerplate language. I purchase in game packs frequently and I have never purchased coins or sold coins. I just filed a follow up appeal but I'm thinking it'll be the same response. I am done with the game until this gets resolved.
I want to add I will be filing a BBB and possibly something with the FTC upon hearing back about my appeal. EA has not been doing their due diligence in regards to actually putting working controls in place. Also the appeals process is incredibly lacking in regards to human contact.
