Franchise - backups playing instead of starters

I’m in week 8 now of the first year of a franchise. Deandre Hopkins, Burks, Henry play the first play of the game and then sits the rest of the game for McMath, Westbrook, and Julius Chestnut. Why does this happen? So annoying. They aren’t even injured.
