H2H in Madden 24 Franchise PS5

I am trying to play someone in person on the same console in Madden 24 Franchise.   We have both played the entire season as separate teams and are supposed to match up in the Super Bowl but it will only seem to let one of us log in at the same time.   I’m sure I am missing something.   Thanks!
