Note on Create a Draft Class in Franchise
Every year I spend weeks creating my own version of the upcoming draft class and hours in the months afterwards updating and maintaining it. It has become a very large part of my life and heightened my interest in the NFL and college football.
So imagine my surprise when, upon completing this years version, the first time I go through a draft with it I see all the faces and numbers and builds I had spent weeks putting in have been completely erased in favor of the same two defaults for every single player. I can not state what an enormous and unnecessary let down this is. I had effectively wasted my time by trying to use your product- and not for the first time. I have struggled through the months when the file share was down, the repeated order glitches that place two players in the same place, and more. Even now, the #1 QB in any class I make does not appear from the regular users main draft board- a new glitch for the new title!
I see and understand that these problems have been brought up by others and EA has said they will fix them in the next title update. I have zero faith that they will adequately address the issue. I can not overstate how much harm this company has done to my simple enjoyment of a small section of their game- and my desire to use their product at all will disappear if I find I have to put all that effort in again. I see them saying, without much specificity, that the title update will not work on previously downloaded classes. Does this mean that I can not simply redownload my created class post-update to add the class to any franchise? If not, I ask: how can a company be so inconsiderate and incompetent and never face any repercussion for it? It is beyond me. The draft class player editor is already a nightmare- slow load screens, inhuman faces, faces no longer grouped by race and instead in a 300 item list, body sliders no longer having an effect, the star maximum glitch returning, and no backdoor compatibility to allow serious data entry to be done not on a XBOX controller. Making it completely useless to transfer classes at all is icing on the cake. It seems to me that they are working with a behemoth of unfixable code, that much of it is produced via crunch, and that no one has any overarching vision or understanding of how these pieces work together. Take a year off to get your house in order and just put out roster updates. But first let me do my simple task I pay $70 annually for in peace.
