Error says can’t connect to servers or Xbox network

I have run into a problem that I haven’t been able to figure out. I’ve gone through the help site and chatted with EA help agents. The message I receive says, “Attention you must be signed into to Xbox network and the EA servers in order to access the online features of this title. Please check your Ethernet cable. You will be unable to access any online features until you sign in to Xbox network and the EA servers again. See http://www.ea.com/unable-to-connect for additional information.” I am signed in to the Xbox Networkand my Ethernet cable is in working condition. I’m at a loss and just can’t figure this out. Any help is greatly appreciated. I did visit that website and still couldn’t get this to work.
