My friend and I are having similar issues. We are doing a franchise and constantly get kicked saying we aren't connected to an EA server. We have tried everything they post as a "fix" but nothing has worked. I'm not sure how we can play so many other games together with no connection issues and then EA acts like it's something on our end. Oddly enough when we manage to play a head to head game in franchise we have no connection issues.
@BowlingBallGrip these save files sound like they are corrupted, and may not be used again. that is TRULY frustrating and angering....two years ago I was playing FIFA, got halway through the season, was playing a Cup game, got disconnected only to find out the save was corrupted and had to start all over again. we need a patch, discounted prices or refunds if the game is broken once again in this state.
