Game freezing when editing roster in menu

I have an Xbox one and a series X and this is happening on both my consoles. I play as the 49ers and everytime I try to edit Pryor the game freezes. It’s complete * you throw down 70 bucks for a game and you can’t play it. That’s EA for ya

Latest patch from 10/17 seemed to fix simple things such as player jerseys numbers but you still can not do anything with the Vikings - like editing Powell for instance without freezing. 

This sucks. Are the players still showing up a white box in the rosters? 

I saw the mismatch helmet on the Buccaneers player when I highlighted a player. I did not check to see if any other issues arising with any of the other rosters like the commanders, or the bills. Once the game froze on the Vikings player, I just shut the game off this morning.

After seeing the players you named, the exact same thing happened to me with those players. I already spoke with EA reps regarding this issue and this has bee happening for weeks for me. Its ridiculous. 

Cmon EA fix this. It is ridiculouss. All modes unplayable thanks to this. Only thing that Ill get when starting the game is all the new MUT updates and pay to win offers. Crash after crash when trying to do anything else. I would demand a refund but knowing that will not happen, we are left complaining to ourselves about a product which dont work

Same issue for me. Scrolling free agents or in player management, especially WR, after about 30-40 players the portraits disappear and the game hangs. I press “exit” and it freezes

i thought initially it was one specific player but I don’t think it is. I’ve tried 10 different roster files and it happens with a different guy each time. Usually around the 71-68 OVR rated WR (the ratings are irrelevant, that’s just how far down the list I can scroll before it breaks, about 40 players)

I downloaded and installed the game on my secondary PS4, so it was a fresh install, no saved data at all, no custom roster, first time I scrolled free agents it broke. So it’s definitely not a “rebuild the database” or “reinstall” fix. Something is fundamentally broken. 

same behavior presents itself if you just scroll “player management”, regardless of position (all players in league not just free agents). After 10-15 seconds maybe, the portraits disappear and the game hangs. 

also same behavior exists once you’re in franchise and doing roster cuts or depth charts. Scroll around enough and portraits disappear, replaced by NFL shield logo and game hangs 

makes franchise mode literally unplayable.
