My advice.....
I've beat the best, and also have lost to the worst lol. Do not back out of games even if it gets out of hand. There is so much detail to the game now days it's hard to play it at such a fast pace with such little time in-between snaps to make adjustments. Run plays you would never run in a 1 score ball game. Find new plays on offense that works. Sometimes it's just putting a receiver on a different route that opens things up. Don't get too heavily predictable with running or passing. Switch it up. Play smart, don't force a pass. Throw it away! Turn overs will kill you in this game. Sometimes losing a down or 2 is a better option than forcing things to a turnover.
Defense advice....use qb contain if they burn you on scrambling...but don't use it every single play just because they scramble, people catch on to that.....bring blitz some plays. Use the blitz plays in the playbook and also sometimes manually blitz random players. Getting pressure on the qb in Madden is crucial. The less time they have to make a play benefits you. It can also burn you too if they catch on to the blitz. Which is why I never recommend being 1 of the blitz players. You have to stay back to guard the short crossing routes, the rb screens, the short over the top middle throws the deep crossing routes. Do your best to float around and guard routes post snap while the defense is blitzing. All it takes is 1 stop on defense to win a game in madden if you have a good enough offensive game.
Just never quit! I've played people who burned me 50+ points no problem to finally find ways to stop their cheap cheese plays late in a game....and have actually beat a good portion of these people the 2nd time around after talking smack for a rematch invite.
Some players live off of like 2 plays and will just run them all game long. Once you can realize how to stop what they are comfortable with the whole game will change for them.
I've had people burn me with 2 or 3 plays all game long before and then by 3rd and 4th quarter they are **bleep** their pants and can't move the ball at all because nothing is working for them. None of the cheese stuff they were burning me on is open anymore, and the scramble ain't there to bail them out. Most of these players will rage quit. It's hilarious if you ask me 😂
Just remember you will always lose games, it's a very competitive game and there are many good players who play! Some are very very good, and even they too will lose games. Just don't burn yourself out on the game or on a loss. It also does not hurt to ask players in game for advice, or ask them how they keep doing certain plays. Real legit Madden players will always be willing to give advice.
Also, don't get get stuck into a rhythm of running the same plays offense or defense. Good players catch on quick to stuff like that. Remember, chess game. You move the same pieces in the same spots every time you will be predictable and get beat. Be creative! Be smart! Work the clock in certain situations. Find plays that will get you deep yardage, find plays that's gonna get you your short yardage first downs. Get rid of the ball quick, but don't force things. Make quick decisions.
