Please answer: Can you play couch co-op on Franchise mode?

I know you cannot play co-op (two players on the same team) in online Franchise mode because EA Sports hates their customers.   However, can you play local couch co-op (two player on the same team on the same console) on Franchise?  Can one person control the QB and the other a RB or WR on the same team on Franchise mode if they are on the same console?

I would like an answer from someone who owns the game and has actually done it.  It is crazy how many videos there are that don't answer the above question clearly.  Thanks to anyone who can help!
