XBOX controller on PC ver in Franchise-no response when trying to play a game.

Madden 26 - Franchise Mode

Problem: 
The controller is working fine until I attempt to play the first game. The game launches but the controller is unavailable.  I have looked up via Google the issues and tried the following with no luck;

Disable Steam Controller

Closed EA Launcher

Switched from Wireless to USB connection on the controller

Removed the Wireless controller and then connect with the controller wired

On Steam, checked for file issues

I am very frustrated!!!

EA... PLEASE provide a solution. - Thank you
