Why are Madden 26 player ratings not matching 2025 season stats?

I’m confused about how player and team ratings are being handled in Madden 26. The numbers just don’t match what’s happening this NFL season. For example, Jonathan Taylor (Colts) leads in rushing with 895 yards on 157 carries (5.7 avg), while Saquon Barkley (Eagles) only has 519 yards on 127 carries (4.1 avg), yet Barkley is rated 99 OVR and Taylor just 95. Daniel Jones (Colts) has 2,404 pass yards and a higher QBR than Jalen Hurts (Eagles) but is rated lower (81 vs. 87). If ratings are supposed to reflect real performance, how is that accurate? Can someone from the Madden Ratings Team or EA_Kent explain how these are determined and updated?
