Xbox Series X Randomly Crashes
Anytime i’m playing Madden 26 the game will shut itself or my entire xbox off, does anyone have a solution for this because i can’t get a refund for the game, i’ve tried every solution and none work

So for me EA_Shepard and a lot of people it’s only happening on mut. It happens too me and many while IN A GAME OR CHALLENGE. Mostly games because you finish challenges quickly. I can’t even finish 2nd half games or the challenges that require you to finish the 2nd half only. I didn’t play much of madden 25 but the last month of it too get ready for 26 and it did the same thing on mut I couldn’t finish online games. I have tried after seeing you urge changing my coach and stadium , that doesn’t work. I have tried after seeing others online urge you too removing all my usb ports which were being used by my extra storage USB’s. It’s happened even before I had abilities in my lineup , I tried deleting my gamertag just now and redownloading it back and just got kicked again.. I never have apps running in background I have checked my connection the problem is , this only happens on madden and in online games I play mlb the show a ton and cod and it never happens on any other game.. My nat type is open as it always usually is I have cleared my persistent storage as well as cleared the alternate MAC. Hard resetting my Xbox is something I do everytime and it never works but I have hope it will everytime! lol. I also deleted my load save files in case it was anything with that truly nothing you brought up works as well as tried some other things I seen.. it’s extremely frustrating ! I’m on Xbox series x

Community Managergoorganducks It is frustrating for sure, especially when you have already gone through just about every troubleshooting step and the issue is still only happening in Madden MUT games. The detail that this started for you back in the last month of Madden 25 and carried into Madden 26 is really helpful info, especially since you confirmed it does not happen in other online titles like MLB The Show or COD. That points more to something with how MUT is handling games on Xbox rather than a console or connection problem.
The part about it always happening mid-game, especially in second-half challenges or online matchups, is also good context for us to look into. Since you have tried lineup changes, stadium and coach swaps, clearing MAC, persistent storage, removing USBs, re-downloading your Gamertag, and even resetting regularly, you have basically covered the full list.
One thing that would help a lot right now is if you could capture a clip of it the next time it happens. Using Xbox capture to grab the last 30 seconds of gameplay would let us see what is happening on screen just before the crash. That can sometimes point out a trigger we might otherwise miss. If you cannot, no big deal. Just nice to have.
I have a quick question, too. Does this happen in both solo challenges and head-to-head MUT games, or is it leaning more toward one over the other? Also, maybe I just missed it, but did you also clear the cache by unplugging the power cord for two minutes? It seems like a step like this, or deleting save files or your gamertag data in Manage Games and Apps, has helped others. I'm just curious about this one.
Appreciate you sticking it out and sharing all the details. I know how discouraging it is to feel like you are locked out of finishing games, and the more examples we get like yours, the better chance we have of finding the common thread.
It happens to me as well. I can be doing anything and it will turn off my console
