Started a new Franchise with the 49ers. and half the team are on expiring 1 year deals that are SUPER low. Including Brock Purdy, Fred Warner, Nick Bosa, George Kittle, and many others including draft picks. Is this a know bug? I'm on PS5 offline franchise.

That definitely doesn't sound right compared to how standard rosters are usually set up. Under normal conditions, guys like Purdy, Warner, and your rookie draft picks should be locked in on multi-year deals.
The behavior hasn't been confirmed as an issue that I can, but that does not mean it isn't one, or that others aren't experiencing it either. This kind of contract reset can sometimes happen if there's a glitch loading a custom roster file or if a local save file gets corrupted. Try starting up a quick test Franchise using the official active roster rather than any custom files, or try starting a solo online Cloud Franchise to see if those contracts load in normally.
When you use a custom roster file for franchise mode offline and online, it is giving the whole team expiring 1 year deal contracts (I’ve tested multiple times on PS5). CPU is also automatically extending players you trade for, even though I selected manual for contract negotiations. Please fix
When you create your roster you can’t edit the player or position. I think this triggers the 1 year contract. I created a roster that I just trade for some players and didn’t edit any of the players and it didn’t change the contracts to 1 year. I think in Madden 26 you could edit the players and it didn’t change the contracts.
