Superstar Mode

Right off the top ... It's my understanding that EA revamped defensive play for this one.  Unfortunately, this has translated into the game being almost unplayable.  My QB character is overwhelmed almost immediately on every single drop-back and is sacked anywhere from 6 to 10 times per game.  No sliders for this mode means there's no way to dial that back. 

Another bug is that you somehow aren't able to accumulate influence points with the OC.  This means no progression... You stay stuck on the ground floor level and aren't allowed to audible, reroute receivers, or have access to more than three plays at a time... Most of the time, those three plays suck.

    This is a sad reality.  I posted earlier last night I watched an online league where the was a total of 29 sacks and 11 interceptions in one game.  I have heard more complaints about Superstar Mode and the removal of gameplay sliders than anything else.  The problem is that most people don't ever post about this on forums, they simply stop playing and move on to something else.  I suspect the lack of superstar league involvement over time will speak very very loud to EA as they gather feedback.

    I used to play league when they allowed you to create your own player.  They took that away, so I resorted to playing Superstar mode.  Now they seem to be **bleep** on it as well.  Soon enough, I'll stop buying this goddamn game.

    EA has been mooching off the NFL for 39 years. They don't need to make a good game they just need you to keep coming back. This is my First and Last Modern Madden game. But short lived GTA 6 is here to save the gaming community.

    Glad to know that its not just me.  I'm probably too old (maturity, reflexes) to play video games, but I'm averaging 3+ interceptions, 5+ sacks per game in two seasons of Superstar.  I like the game to be challenging so it is 'kinda' fun, but the DBs have more ball skills than my receivers and they jump routes like Nostradamus.  I guess I'll keep playing CFB27 or drop Madden down to Pro difficulty and see what happens.
