Madden 17 on xBox One : xBox Gold Limitations

This is a question about Madden 17 and xBox  I don't play multiplayer and don't care about other game modes or the icons that pop up when you do certain things. I only want to play solo franchise mode and get the roster updates...

  • What features are Gold membership only with Madden 17
  • Does franchise mode require Gold membership
  • Do roster updates require Gold Membership

    Hey @ShoutandEcho

    The Gold membership allows you to access multiplayer modes on any games.

    On the franchise mode you have te choice to play it Offline or Online, if you do not desire to play an Online franchise, You won´t need a membership.

    To get your roster update, the only thing you need will be an Internet connection and your console up to date 🙂

    Why is it that I, as a NON-GOLD XBL member, was able to start an online franchise mode on the Access demo, only to have that feature blocked as soon as I actually bought the game?

    I have Madden 17 on my Xbox One and I do not have Gold, EA Access or Game pass. When it try to enter the game it says I need one of those. I’m frustrated because I got the game when I had my free trial but know I can’t even play an ordinary game of football on it. What do I do?
