Madden 21 franchise mode game crashes after trying to end game

This is still under investigating and planned to be fixed in a future title update.

A workaround fix identified by a forum user can be found below:

Like many of you, I've been super frustrated with this situation. To have it solved and then unsolved in a matter of weeks has made my experience less than ideal. I play in a competitive GM league where we watch slow sims of the rosters we have assembled and to have us not be able to complete a game has really soured our experience. However, i felt like sharing a work-around that has been successful and allows you to save slow sim data at the end of a game.

1. Run your game as you normally would. Either slow sim or play important moments

2. When you get to the final play or two in the 4th quarter, press the PS button that takes you to the home screen.

3. Hit "options" button and select close application

4. Reopen Madden and head straight for your franchise. It will ask if you want to resume, select resume.

5. Finish the last play or two on normal or fast speed sim OR play the last play or two. Do NOT run another play on slow sim.

6. The game will finish and all your stats and results will save. The only catch is it tricks the CPU to thinking all your points were scored in the 4th quarter.

Obviously, this is not what we should have to do or want to do, but it's the best I've got until EA fixes this again. Of note, this can really be hard when your game comes down to the last play or heads to overtime. You'll have to decide how you want to handle those situations. Hope this helps.

This issue was previously fixed but has now re-surfaced from a recent title update. The team is currently investigating it.

What is your Franchise League Name? I don’t have a name for it
Summarize your bug I try to create my player for franchise and it crashes everytime. I have not even been able to finish creating my player.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just play online franchise mode as a player and it crashes in the create a player screen every time
What happens when the bug occurs? It completely kicks me out of the game and restarts it.
What do you expect to see? I expect less bugs. It’s reoccurring game breaking bugs that keep happening and I expect an urgency and priority to fix this because we all spent money for a complete game not this.

I’m not sure if it’s every mode but I’ve tried to play franchise 5 times now and my game crashes every time. I bought the special edition to play early and was not even able to because of all the bugs. The game was patched for bug fixes but now at least for me it’s more broken then it was before.

everytime i play a franchise game at the end of the game i get a error message that says " cannot connect to ea servers youre being directed to the home screen" after i get to the home screen and go back into the franchise screen the game i just played is gone and I have to play the same game again. WTF is going on with that?

This is also happening to me in Face of the Franchise. I am unable to continue progress in this mode because I play a game and it crashes and never saves

Summarize your bug I first get an error that says suspend -resume data is damaged. I push past that and at at tart of franchise game get error be-34878-0. Every time I try and play. Thee Ed no I ha d to restart the game. You guys have got to do better than this. This is by far the worst Madden in terms of bugs ever. Perhaps you can take some of the money you’re making from all of those transactions and fix the game. Please

So I am on week 12 in my face of the franchise save, where I'm on the Ravens and playing the Steelers. Everytime I finish the game, when I click exit on the post-game menu, the game crashes a few seconds later. I tried re-opening the game and replaying the match many times, but no matter what it crashes. I actually am enjoying the mode so I would like continue the mode but I don't know what's going on, and I am on PS4. Thanks.

Every time I complete the first playoff game in face of the franchise mode the game crashes and makes me start the game all over

Madden NFL21 on ps4.
Playing Online franchises, it crashes 100% of the times after playing a game in SuperSim Slow motion (watching the game).
When the match ends, game crashes giving you ERROR (CE - 34878-0) not savings results or anything.
It happens every single time.
It was working before patch 1.17 was released...after todays patch 1.20, the error is still there.
Many online users are affected.
Please, solve it as soon as posible.
