The matchmaking for this game is terrible. A 74 ovr squad should not be put against teams with all of the best players every game. There is no chance to win. Is there anyway to get in matches that are closer to your own ovr or skill level?

There's some factors that come into play too, like what rank bracket you're in and how many other teams similar to you are online to match up. It's very possible you're a highly skilled player and the opponents you are going up against have great teams, but aren't as good at the game as you.Right now, online H2H MUT is going to be competitive with a lot of players that have gone through the auction house to build up their team, complete the Solo Challenges, and purchased packs. With a 74 overall team I recommend grinding through those Solos to naturally build up your team and earn some coins for the auction house so you can buy some items for positions you need to upgrade. The matchmaking needs serious overhaul. You have matchmaking currently going through those who are in the same tier (rookie, pro, etc.), but this unfairly positions players who don't have the stacked teams that money can buy up against the players who have the disposable income to truly enjoy this game. The algorithm could look something like this:
*Search query for players:
in same overall range (i.e. 70-79) AND
same skilled tier group (i.e. rookie)
IF "0" players result for "X" time (secs) THEN
*Search query for players:
in same overall range (i.e. 70-79) AND
same skilled tier group (i.e. rookie) +/- 1 tier
IF "0" players result for "X" time (secs) THEN
*Search query for players:
in same overall range (i.e. 70-79) +/- 1 ovr range AND
same skilled tier group (i.e. rookie) +/- 1 tier
IF "0" players result for "X" time (secs) THEN
*Search query for players:
in same overall range (i.e. 70-79) +/- 1 ovr range AND
same skilled tier group (i.e. rookie) +/- 2 tier
If the current matchmaking is something similar already, then I believe it needs stricter parameters or the option to increase wait time before adjusting increasing the search query filters could help with the more patient players who really want fairness.
You can see how this scales across across all tiers and overall ranges. Stricter overall ranges (70-74, 75-79, 80-84, etc.) would be ideal, but with potential long wait times that could cause, the +/- 10 overall points should help with matching absurd rosters up against low talented teams. This really shouldn't affect how people spend their money and if anything, it should increase spending because those players who lack skill will be buying more packs then before considering their competition will be more along their overall range, creating a more fair and fun experience for not only the average gamer, but also the passionate die-hard madden supporters who don't wanna give up on the franchise.

I've literally not matched with anyone that has similar ovr team as me. Is a 70 ovr team playing 90 ovr teams the ideal matchmaking for you guys? This is ridiculous. I literally cannot play one single online game without being outmatched at every position by at least 5-10 ovr points... sometimes more. this is insane...… seriously??? Please fix this. It's ruined madden every year for me for the past 4 years at least. I play avg of two months before the matchmaking is too much and makes the game unplayable. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for competition based on ovr…. someone buys their team to 90 ovr and others that skillfully got their are destroying them? THEN GET YOUR SKILLS UP, you bought your team, no one forced you to. You want to improve your skills then improve them but forcing low overalls to play these chumps is rigged and it's gonna kill the franchise for me.

I’m new to mut this year and just hopped in to my first game on season my team is only 62 overall I just wanted to see if the base online mode was fun but to my displeasure I go matched up against a guy with multiply 90+ overalls which makes it impossible for me to win my 80 overall Patrick Mahomes was missing 5 yard out routes and wide open slants standing still this just reminded me why I stoped playing mut and fut a few years ago

Have you tried playing Draft games? You can still earn Ultimate Team rewards in that mode and everyone's teams are relatively balanced due to the certain type of players you can draft. If you're trying to work on building up your overall outside of Solo Challenges that is a great mode to jump into.

pLaY dRaFt. No. Fix the matchmaking. I as a 79 ovr should not be forced to play 90 ovr sweats for every single game. I can't get a mut hero because I can't get into reasonable games. And yes I know you won't even reply/ see this message because y'all dislike your community.

@PrestonB806 Agreed. Lol this match making is making it not fun at all when I’m getting my * whooped every time I play and I know I don’t suck at madden. I’m playing dudes with higher overalls and squads is the same. Me and my buddies can’t even enjoy it anymore

How hard is it to pair around the same overall teams together I don’t care if I have to wait extra 30 seconds to a minute to play a team around my overall. Fix the problem y’all make too much money to not fix it
