So since I cant play my game online can I get a refund?
Is it a digital copy through Xbox/PlayStation or did you purchase it from a third party retailer?
If it's digital, please contact Xbox or PlayStation for a refund request as the purchase is through their store via the payment method you have on the Microsoft/PlayStation account.
For a retail copy please visit the retailer in which is was purchased from to inquire for a refund.
For physical copies the game can always be accessed from a different Gamertag is you have one linked to an EA account that is accessible. Our Live-Support team will do everything that can to help you access your EA account, but if you can't access the email address registered to the account there will be a more thorough vetting process to verify you are the true account owner. Not helpful! My account is attached to an email I used 12years ago. I have no access to it now. Retuning game no point if you can’t connect.
What I do not understand is why there is no option to simply login using an alternate EA Account. Why in the world would there not be an option to "login using different email/ account"??? It makes no sense...

You can log into a different EA account by loading up the game with a different Gamertag. You can only have 1 Gamertag linked to each EA account. If you were able to login to the game using a different email address, that defeats the purpose of account security. Account owners should technically know the login information for their account.
If you do not know the login credentials for your EA account in which the Gamertag was registered to, please visit this link to start account recovery: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/im-locked-out-of-my-ea-account/
