- @fonzo04 Honestly if we are going to get an upgrade once per decade for NFL and NBA games, then next year better be able to scale well above console. Madden 24 people better be able to play in 8k with vrs, mesh shaders, directstorage, and every ray tracing feature out there, on their 4090 ti's.
At least 2k lies and pretends they are "passionate" about bringing next gen to pc. I mean, at least they acknowledge. @EA_Blueberry I and many others are still very much interested in the team's reasons for not including FieldSense in the PC version of the game. Were there development difficulties? Were there not enough QA resources to commit to testing it on PC? Would it effect the minimum specs too much? I didn't tag you the first time I asked this question, so I thought I'd do so now.
- CoolwaterPSN4 years agoRising Vanguard@c1852qti9pvx If EA gave me feature parity and cross play, i'd be buying madden on PC. It's not that PC gamers aren't sports gamers.. it's that developers aren't giving us a reason to buy exclusively on PC. FIFA was the first, and apparently the last.
- @CoolwaterPSN they can keep cross play even. People are worried about PC players using mods and hacking. Real simple solution there...just don't use cross-play until you have a proper anticheat.
At least then we would have a game Why does Madden 23 on PC not reflect the next-gen edition of the game when PC is capable of doing more?
Saying you're sure it was a tough decision without any insight and gaslighting a whole community isn't an answer.
And blueberry, I understand where you're coming from. Literally the same thing happened to Kraelo and he eventually quit or was cut by EA with 0 explanation and the moment you say something you'll likely be cut too especially not being in the spotlight in the same way he was. You know there's an issue that you can't really do anything about. You relay what the EA team says, but what is the point of being a community manager if nothing is being done? We know there are protocols, and no control on your part with the studio, but at the very least, level with us. Let us know what you've told them so we know our message was put across properly, because with how you respond to us, I don't think you understand what the core of the issue is for us.It's been well over a month and EA still has yet to acknowledge us frustrated PC gamers. Congratulations EA, you've managed to ostracize the entire PC gaming community. Recently just about every game this publisher is apart of ends up being a monumental flop. For the better of the future of gaming... I hope this disgrace of a business falls. How they continue to stay in business is beyond me.
I have an idea EA how about you start taking responsibility for your short comings as a multi-billion dollar business, actually listen to your consumers and put ALOT more effort into your jobs. Dont get me started on the micro transactions that you implement into practically all of your games now. I'd ask how you sleep at night knowing you draw kids in with borderline gambling (aka MUT) but I would guess you sleep about as well as those soulless lizards up in D.C. do.
Wake up EA, you've taken enough from the gaming community. It's time to start giving back and im not just referring strictly to your madden series. I know all of this just falls on deaf ears. Surely they know they're one of the most hated companies in America. Carry on EA
@Roninx007 They don’t care about anything. Look that at the fact that the community manager just doesn’t even reply on our questions.

If you want to know the why, it is due to monetization. EA believes that since there are a lot of low spec PC gamers that it is in their best interest to copy and paste the previous generation of the game so that more users can engage in microtransactions. If they were to put their best product forward then that means the person already playing last gen at 35 fps would now be unable to do so.
Same strategy done by 2k.
Thats a terrible take and harkens back to specs. The recommended specs for this pre gen game on PC people generally don't even own the hardware anymore because they're so old. 90% of new games that are released cant even run on them. I know this because I had the exact gpu recommended by steam and it was unable to play the majority of games 2-3 years ago. Its blatant negligence on EAs part.
EDIT: and another point should be made, GPUs last 5-8 years. The recommended GPU is 9-10 years old.Why does every new Madden Game only cater to new console players? Hardly any people have a PS5 or the new Xbox, yet EA continues to only give them new features. Why not give the same thing to the PC community? Quit screwing us over. We pay the same damn amount of money for the game as console players. This will be my last year of EA play because EA continues to absolutely suck * and treat its player base (especially PC community) like *.
