Andromeda Tank Play.

Hi there! I haven't played Andromeda compeltely yet. I played around the time it first came out, got done with I think the first planet then I stopped. I dont even think that was a 25% completion lmao.

That being said, I am coming back to it soon after my current me3 playthrough. So heres my situation.

Right now, I am having a BLAST playing the Sentinel with Fortification and Tech Armor stacked. As well as the armor upgrades for shield. I am a TANK. I am just walking around in the thick of combat, shooting people with my shotgun, hardly taking cover, shooting out overload and other powers cackling like a madman. Is.... this style also there in Andromeda or has it been 'fixed'?

I am also using alot of Mods on my me3 run, that give me extra armor types from other games, etc. That also helps.

Edit: Also want to say im not an insanity player. Sometimes play on hardcore, but mainly play on Normal as I play these games for the story and to feel badass

  • @Major_ShrekoningThere are multiple styles to play in Andromeda as the character profiles are easily swapped. You can play as a sentinel or as a soldier and just tank (which i do). With the class system done away with you can basically play however you want. Andromeda has a great rpg system that allows a lot of flexibility, and you can play as hybrids of the different classes if you want.

With no more set classes you can pick from any perks between soldier, tech and biotic so you have maximum flexibility. Any power you like is available so you can choose whatever suits you.

So yes, you can still play in this style and weapon and armor mods can further enhance it.

But can I make it as tanky as I am used to? I dont know much about Andromeda and how they changed abilities, Fort + Tech armor was a 90% Damage reduction and I have mods that improve gameplay, so I actually had shields that had a 245% increase among the normal gear. EGM is amazing lmao.

@Major_ShrekoningHonestly don't know tbh, I primarily use offensive powers and use assault and sniper rifles and never really like shotguns in the ME series. There are defensive abilities for defense and there are weapon mods that will help you tank with a shotgun.

There's a gamepedia page that lists all the weapons, mods and abilities you can check out.
