    Xbox X just started playing via gamepass. This bug still exists as of June 10, 2022. 

    I just hit the X-box button selects Home, the. Quit the app. Then restarted and selected Continue at main menu and I was able to open it.

I tried loading the auto-save a couple times and a save about 5 minutes back and the door still wouldn't open for me. I had to exit the game completely and reload the save to get it to work.
