Controller Not Working - Mass Effect Legendary Edition Steam

Question

System: PC Windows 10Purchased on SteamLatest EA App Version 13.482.0.5995&nbsp;I recently reinstalled Legendary Edition to replay the trilogy and no matter what I try I cannot get my controller to connect (I have PS5 and a generic xbox controller). I remember playing with controller just fine back in 2021 and the best I can find online is that this seems to be an ongoing issue with the EA App itself.&nbsp;I bought the game on steam, I have adjusted every possible controller setting on there. I have tried adding EADesktop as a non-steam game, and that does show the controller in the Legendary menu, but once I boot up ME1 it no longer shows any controller options.&nbsp;If anyone has any other work arounds to try that would be great!&nbsp;

If that don't helps try to enable Steam input?&nbsp;

Open Steams Big Picture Mode.
Select MELE.
Click the cogwheel on the right &gt; Properties &gt; Controller.
Enable Stem input.&nbsp;

Unfortunately no, I can get the controller working for the MELE menu where you select which game in the trilogy you want but it won't show up once ME1 is actually running
