You ignored the stickied request for information. The question cannot be answered as posted, sorry.
No Data in = No Data out !
Try to run Mass Effect 1 as Administrator (right click on icon). It should help. Else you have to provide us with more information (manual : http://goo.gl/qSkl0 )

Some of the rawest of the noobs treat their system descriptions as if it was gold that they were showing us, and we'll steal it if they let us look at all of it.
Two of the forum stickies mention one common problem, if they would just take the blindfolds off!
I seem to have the same problem. I'd been playing the first game with no problem. Now, suddenly, the game crashes without the start screen coming up. I've tried to repair install and run the .exe as administrator to no avail.

ME1 will not launch for me either. I recently purchased Mass Effect TriloIogy on disc, and I had never had an Origin account or any of the Mass Effect Games before. When I try to launch ME1 by clicking the desktop icon, Origin opens, the cloud sync window pops up, the progress bar goes to 100%, and it disappears. The next thing that comes up is a windows popup saying "Mass Effect has stopped working." It has the following problem details:
Problem signature:

I have not installed the other two games yet, but I will do so tonight to verify that they launch.

For everyone's basic information, ME-1 is simply too old to fall for the foolish smoke and mirrors trickery that Intel prefers to palm off on the public in place of the real gaming graphics that this game was designed to run on. If you don't have a real graphics card from a real graphics company, you can EXPECT a variety of bad behaviors from your junk video chips.
That also goes for attempting to run the game with the cheapest possible of business graphics from AMD and nVIDIA, that aren't even as efficient as theinadequate Intel stuff:
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 6 series (6800GT or better: G.205, 210, 310, 520, 620, 7100, 7200, 7300, 7400, 7500, 7600 GS, 8200, 8300, 8400 GS, 8500, 9100, 9200, & 9300 are below minimum system requirements)
ATI Radeon X1650 XT or better (X1050, X1300, X1300 Pro, *X1550*, HD 2400, HD 3100, HD 3200, HD 3450, HD 3470, HD 4200, HD 4250, HD 4270, HD 4350, HD 4550, and ("probably") HD 5450 / 6350 are below minimum system requirements) no video device with Intel's name on it is supported in any way, shape, or form.
(Varying amounts of VRAM beyond 256 have no detectable influence)
