    I actually managed to finish the quest not long after my original post, so thought I'd share what happened. Playing on PC, the bugs wouldn't scan, so I saved the game, closed it, then reloaded the save I had just made.

    When I loaded back in, the Kett devices were gone, because I was standing right next to one in that save and it was no longer there. I left the area and did a few other sidequests, then found a Kett device in a different location which I was finally allowed to scan. Finished the quest after that. Hopefully this works for someone else too.

Same thing here. I am playing on PS4, with the most recent patch, and yet I ran into a Kett outpost with the last Angaran bug and it didn't scan. When I reloaded, the bug and machinery it was attached to was gone.

Without sounding too bitter, but does EA or Bioware even read these forums?

Finished the other 2 tasks in this planet that involves destroying the kett devices and scanning the angaran corpses with no problems.  Then this 3rd task Gone Dark, having trouble scanning the 3rd device, so I left the planet and came back.  Went North to find the first settlement with kett, and I am able to scan again and finish the quest.
