Mass Effect 2 does not launch

@crackersnjam If you include your dxdiag and an exact description of how the issue is happening, as well as listing any troubleshooting steps already taken, it should help with moving forward with this. 

I understand you're frustrated, but the more pertinent info we have, the easier it should be to take a look at this. 

Sorry about not responding sooner been fairly busy

I first did a fresh reinstall of my OS then proceeded to reinstall every program I had  

I hit the "play' button directly from Origin, it makes the title cover slightly opaque the game doesn't launch, it shows up as a task in Windows Task Manager as active for about 5-10 sec. and then ceases. I've tried reinstalling Origin then re-installing Mass effect 2 even renaming the .exe like mentioned in a few other methods of fixing the game from not launching.

What happens if you launch the game from the EXE directly? Did you tray to launch the game as an Administrator?

Yeah... plus compatibility mode on windows 7 origin and everything else too. so pretty much tried everything I could.

Did you tried this Mass-Effect-2-won-t-start solution?

Yes multiple times

At least you seem to give a * about it, all they've been doing is saying reinstall this, reinstall that, uninstall this, install that. 

I might as well call it quits if they ain't gonna do * about something their client base needs help fixing. I'm gonna talk to Bioware about this issue see if they can push out an update to patch this issue.

Did you try to exit Origin (completely closed ) and launch the game afterwards directly from the MassEffect2.exe 

Did you try to shut down your internet connection (Pull the plug and start the game from the exe with and without origin running)

yes even went to into task manager and ended some of the other tasks that were Origin related. Ran the exe from the mass effect 2 folder as Admin

Ok lets try this again, exit origin, then delete the "MassEffect2Config.exe".

Go back to your Mass Effect 2 Folder, delete the "data" Folder

Relocate the save file from ME1 from the "\Mass Effect 2\save" folder to a place of your choice.

Launch Origin, under my games right click on ME2 > Repair game

Launch Mass Effect 2.
