Mass Effect 2 PS3 error in the Omega transport zone

I'm playing the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2. When I'm in Omega, after talking to the mercenaries and going to the transport location to start Archangel's mission, it gets stuck on the loading screen and corrupts the save data. I already have one save before the error and I'm trying to log in with that one and some new ones.

Does anyone know how I can avoid this? I know I can just not go for it and continue playing, but I wanted all my teammates...
