I’m trying to do a romance after suicide mission but it seems the screen goes completely black I can access the pause menu and when I go to squad the character screen is completely black like I can’t...

@dylan881Thanks I needed the sarcasm, it was wasn't it? Because it's not like they rushed this magnificent Legendary Edition and expect us to just take the game without fights.
The Bioware Facebook page is just re-posting items for sale and promo for the LE and BTW, do you think a fan fiction story of a post ME3 world state will be better off staring with Shepard (high Destroy ending) waking in a hospital and as he grasp for air his LI rapidly calls the docs or with the SR-2 care as they escape the planet, or perhaps a bit of both?

- @sundance31us Nice, guess I'll need to at least establish the timeframe it took Williams and the whole recovery efforts in a flashback section after introducing that scene so as to let the readers know how it connected after about 3 months of travels from the Normandy crew, or 1 1/2 depending on where they crashed (which Bioware never outright stated just showed a random planet) and what was happening on Earth and other places. In my head cannon Wrex angryli looked for Shepard with the help of the Rachni Queen (her abilities sure are helpful to comunicate with dead and dying creatures and according to the ME2 Asari can help heal individuals). The Ex Cerberus personnel along with the Lawson sisters and K Sanders also helped get him up to speed without storing him on a stasis pod and await better treatment later as for the Normandy, well first they'll try to figure out what happened and then salvage EDI data to chart the way back home (while helping some people) to which a small conflict arises between Williams and both Joker and Traynor with Tali and Liara trying to hold down all parties involved and reminding both groups that while yes EDI tried to kill them before (Luna base) she had changed and that precautions should be observed, do you think that due to EFI surviving Shepard blasting her in ME1 that she could have some slight bits that can be rebuilt in years times on a high Destroy WA Ending as will the Geth?
My head-canon is that Wrex and Grunt strapped themselves to the last Saturn V and took off to find Shepard. Beyond that...
I'd like to think that between Chorban and Jahleed's work on the keepers and Jenna and Conrad's ingenuity that there might be other survivors on the Citadel. Not forgetting that there is or was at least one Leviathan sphere on the Citadel, though that might not be a good thing depending on what the Lev goals are post-game.
- @sundance31us The Leviathans definetly will factor next and unless Shepard discovered I doubt the galaxy will be ready for when they try to take over now, if Dr. Brynson mind was half stable and joined the War Effort then a shield device could be deployed around the planet where the Leviathans were found letting them now their time as Apex is truly over.
It always bothered me that despite the work we put to improve the Citadel Defense Force we hear not a peep from it in the Extended Cut (the better prepared the more cassualties C-Sec took over the civillians and perhaps the entire station residents stood a much better chance holding off the Reapers until the arms were opened and they escaped but yeah, people like: Chorban, Jahleed's, Conrad and Jenna will be incorporated into my story. Better start writing a rough draft so as to have something to work on, could it be possible and beliable that dragons exist on a planet which looks like Bioware Dragon Age games? @draconiam

As much as I’d like to talk about what could potentially be happening with the next mass effect game I think it’s best we stick on point because I don’t want anyone to get in trouble by going off topic
Little bit of an update I’ve noticed that the main menu screen when you pause the game the sides are completely black why I believe when it’s normally working it’s more of a orangey colour in the main menu i’m adding two attachments just to show the difference Of the main menu one is when I’m trying to romance someone and one before the romance
- @draconiam well The one thing I’ve noticed on this glitch with the romance is that it almost seems like the game is not properly loading the same it’s like it’s trying to but something is preventing it like the plot flags not recognising it and then I stopped and thought that was another glitch on another game called Dragon age Origins and also got me thinking maybe it’s something like that I believe that but with called the king and I a bug no I’m not saying it’s exactly the same type of bug but it might be a variation of that bug but I’m also looking at the possibility of again the tracking system might be out of sync because in order for the chief meant to be unlocked it has to track the data of the story that the player is going through so that might also be either out of sync or maybe a bit corrupted but I’m also thinking if this is only isolated to one Platform or is it affecting every platform that’s what I’m also trying to take into consideration because if you look at the help forum people also talking about achievements not been unlocked and that also may be connected to the romance glitch because again I’m thinking like a cascade effect where one thing affects the other and then affects another and when I took notice of the main menu screen I noticed there was differences between when the Romance was trying to happen and when the romance was not happening I notice the difference with the main menu so that also got me thinking that there’s something more to this than just a glitch with one particular part of the game that there might be a chain event type situation of bugs that are affecting multiple areas of the game but one glitch is causing another glitch to affect the other areas you know what I mean it’s like one bugs affecting one part of the game and then causes another bug that affect the other part of the game
- @dylan881 Great theory, may I personally recommend that you use punctuation and commas? The Intel you just gave is awesome and very on point but it can get somewhat difficult to rapidly understand and go throught it but yeah, I suspect that the Legendary Edition (because ot has 3 games tied to one launcher) might have some glitches and bugs that are connected.
- @draconiam Sorry I’m using the voice typing feature on my phone because I sometimes find it easier for me to use it a lot better than just trying to type because I am horrible at typing things especially when I’m trying to type an email because I get that moment where I got something in my brain I want to type but my brain and my fingers don’t work well together when it comes to trying to type it
- @draconiam there’s one more thing I just thought of the names of the trophy/achievements that we’ve done for the original version of the game they are a lot different than the legendary edition of the game now the reason why I say that is because if you look at the achievements/trophy for the original games especially the romance trophies they have a lot different wording like with the romance achievement for mass effect 2 The word rekindle romance or start a new one in the original game it didn’t have the word rekindle relationship now technically you cannot rekindle your romance in mass effect you can only presume a new relationship and with the romantic achievement/trophy for mass effect 2 it states the following successfully pursuing a relationship with a teammate that is what the achievement/Trophy says in the original version now this may be a bit Farfetch and maybe a bit wacky theory but could it be also they change The details of the achievements/trophies that could also be causing this bug with the romance but also with every other achievement/trophy that it’s been having problems unlocking as well
Holy crap I just had a brainstorm I just looked at the achievements for the Le now here’s the thing in mass effect 1 we establish a relationship with either Ashley or liara or kaidan right now in the second romance achievement/trophy it says rekindle romantic relationship now in mass effect 2 you cannot rekindle relationship between male Shepherd and Ashley or female Shepherd and kaidan because there’s no way to talk to them about their romantic relationship now with liara on the other hand that’s not entirely true you can rekindle the romantic relationship with her at the end of the dlc Because again if you look at the first game it’s that game that you establish a romantic relationship with our characters in the second game it is in Establishment point to romance the new squad mates and the third game what’s the point to either start a new romance with a different character or rekindled and establish romance shut the third romance achievement/Trophy for Le should technically be the only one to have rekindle romantic relationship in the achievement/Trophy achievement
- @dylan881 Bioware should have at least added a section in the LE for the VS to allow players to start mending the relationship with them in ME2 or if not they have to do so in ME3 normally. I would have loved to have them meet Legion in M2 (as well Anderson who calls him a trophy bot when Shepard takes them to him post Collector Base), might have been similar to how Tali reacted when they realize Shepard has had an actual Geth ally with them in the Ship AI Core.
- @draconiam well this is the thing we gotta remember that this is a remaster of the original game So if they were to add a scene where you can reconnect to a relationship from the first game they would’ve had add animations voice acting time to that not technically they probably could but then they would have to add new coding to the original game now I don’t know what would that mean for the original version of the games And how that would’ve worked but again when I look at the achievement list on my Xbox I noticed that minor detail with the romance trophy for the second game that really got me to think because again they would’ve had to put coding in for The achievements to make sure that the achievement unlocked normally like the original versions so when the achievement said rekindle relationship and that then that something that could cause a glitch in including because for all intensive purposes there is no way to rekindle a relationship in the second Game apart from liara after the DLC and that’s a technology because in the second one there is no way to rekindle relationship it is only to establish a romantic relationship now I know the description of the achievements maybe a technicality and should really possibly affect the game but the fact that romancing a squad made after the suicide mission still works in the original version of the game tell Me there’s a lot more going on and that’s why I’m looking at every possible scenario every possible variant that could potentially cause this glitch and it could be same with any other of the glitches with the other achievements let’s look at every possible variance every possible scenarios that could’ve caused it and then look at it because it’s the only way Anyone could possibly look at it is to get the save data and try and look at the save data plot flag and see if there’s any corruption in the tracking system of the flagging and the achievement tracking system/trophy tracking system
- @draconiam again this is a theory that may or may not be actual possibility that could hold weight because again I don’t know if the actual achievements have any bearing to do with the flagging system and also I think this might of been an oversight during development because the way I looked at these achievements/Trophies is that they were trying to make a A chain trophy/achievement where the romance achievement trophy are basically the same there achievement/Trophy for the same mechanic system for the plot so what they thought instead of making it separate why don’t try and make it where if Shepherd romances no one in The first game then when they romance someone in the second one the first part romance trophy/achievement will be unlocked and when they do it in the third one then the second one would be a lot now that is also one of my theories about the achievement/trophy unlocking mechanism they were thinking off but also again I’m not an expert in gaming development I have no experience on that I don’t work for any game developers that my disclaimer but I’m open to other theories and that because if we talk about it then maybe we might be able to find a solution to try and fix it and even if we the fans can’t find a fix maybe the developers can so long as we can provide as much information as possible about this particular glitch but I was saying any other glitches that we may encounter
- @draconiam i’ve got a bit of a question for you has this glitch only showing up on one particular platform or is it happening on every platform that the game is on
- @draconiam so we know it’s not isolated to one particular platform so it could be one of two things could be a glitch in the game self or a combination of the game and the platform PC potentially Xbox and PlayStation that has the Romance glitch the other thing is does the romance work properly before the suicide mission because if it’s only not working after the suicide mission then we might have a bit more idea because if it’s only been affected after the suicide mission then I don’t say help us pinpoint what’s going on
