Mass Effect 3 (2012) crash as soon as menu shows.

The "An error on our end caused the launch to fail" error message is a generic message that the EA app displays for almost any unknown error. Most of the time, the problem lies with the end user's system.

Please add a DxDiag to your next reply.

A DxDiag is an overview of your PCs technical features and recent software errors.
There is no personal info in it expect for the “Machine name” in the second row.
(You might delete the “Machine name” and “Machine Id” line if you wish too.)

How to create a DxDiag:

1. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
2. Copy and past or type "DxDiag" in the new field. (Without the quotes) > ENTER
3. Wait until the green bar is gone > Click on "Save all information"
4. Save the file to your desktop.
5. Here at EA Forum > Click Replay > Click the paper clip icon at the bottom of the replay Window.
6. Navigate to the "DxDiag.txt" on your desktop > select the "DxDiag.txt" > click on "Open".
7. Reply.

I uploaded DxDiag. 

However - the error clearly shows a problem on EA side.

Just as for a test I installed the game on another PC and it also crash on the exact same place. It is NOT a client side issue!

I also checked the log file in C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Core\logs  [MassEffect3.log]

The last lines are:

As mentioned, it is a generic error message that EA app displays for any error it can't identify. 

Your DxDiag shows a BEX (Buffer Overflow Exception) error. Put simply, this means that the process is putting too much data into a specific region of memory.
This is often used to execute malicious code on a system, so modern Windows variants end the process if they detect such behaviour.   

The problem is that there are many conditions that can lead to BEX errors, but we know the game exe itself is not at fault because the games runs flawless on many systems.  

Do you use Mods?

1. Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
2. In the new Window, type or copy and paste "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps" (Without the quotation marks) > Press ENTER
3. Check to see if there are any "*.dmp" files named after the game exe in the "\Local\CrashDumps" folder.
4. Zip 2 - 3 ">Game.exe<.dmp" files together and upload them at a free file hosting service like Dropbox, or you can use your OneDrive "Public" folder
5. Post the link here.

If there aren't any dump files of the game:

1. Press the Windows key > Write: Command Prompt > Right click on "Command Prompt" in the search results > Run as administrator.
2. Copy and paste:
   reg add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps\devenv.exe" /v DumpType /d 2 /t REG_DWORD
   into the prompt Window > Press ENTER.
3. Play the game until it crashes.
4. After the game crashes, let all Windows crash dialogues finish.
5. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.> Type "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps" (Without the quotation marks) into the new window > Press ENTER.
6. Zip 2 - 3 "*.dmp" files named after the game exe together and upload them at a file hosting service like Dropbox or you can use the OneDrive "public" folder.
7. Post the link here.

I also now totally re-installed the game but the same issue persists. The same happens on another older computer so it cannot be machine or OS related (other  PC is still Windows 10).
