mass effect 3 cannot save

Do you use "Onedrive"?

Did you moved the location of your "Documents" folder away from your C: drive?

Do you get a error message from the game that it can't save?

I use Onedrive but there is not any Mass Effect folders there.

My Documents folder is by default on D drive and not on C drive. Do I need to change anything?

I didn't get any error message from the game. After the intro, I clicked on the Save button in the menu and there is an icon (animated circle) that game is saving. However, when going to load button afterwards there is nothing to load. Also after starting again there is no option to continue , only to start a new game.

And a Bioware folder? 

You did used the Windows explorer build in function to move the "Documents" folder?

Hi,

I didn't move any folders. Could you please instruct me what folder I need to create or to move and where to? Do I need to move documents folder or any other folder to some other place? I actually created documents on D drive long time ago when I installed Windows 10 in order to keep separate documents from system folders. Whatever could you please provide me some instruction or you need any more information from my side?

The "Documents" folder is by default on the system drive and the system drive is by default C:.
Is D: your system drive?

My system drive is C by default but documents folder in my computer is moved to D drive during the creation of partitions when system is installed long ago. 

just to add one explanation more. Documents is on D drive and the path is simple: D: Documents. However there is also one folder with a name "Documents" which is almost empty and the path for this one is: C/Users/"name of my computer"/Documents. In this folder there is nothing.

And there is no "BioWare" folder in your "D:\Documents" nor in your OneDrive folder?

Please search your computer for files with the file extension *.pcsav.

Dear Holger,

I was searching for the pcsav documents and I found savefiles on the external disc. So I removed the external disc (drive I in my case) and moved the location of "Documents" folder to C drive. After that, I removed and re-installed Origin and the game again but nothing changed and there is still no saving. Again no option to load a game neither to continue from the main menu. The message I get when the game starts is that ME3 content patch, content patch 2  dlc modules and ME3 extended cut are unable to authorise. I installed extended cut through the origin. After re-installing the game I was searching again for pcsave files but this time I could not find them. It seems now that I have now even more problems. Please help.

Do you use mods?

• Make sure Origin is closed.
• Make sure that external drive is not connected and disable OneDrive until you completed this guide.
• Go here and download the "Revo Uninstaller". (The freeware version, Portable version works too.)
• Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Uninstall ME3.
• At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "Intensive" > Browse.
• If "Remaining registration content found" is displayed > Select All > Delete > Next
• When "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed > Select All (Make sure the "Origin Games" folder is not in the list) > Delete.
• Restart the PC > Run Origin as Administrator (Right click the shortcut on the desktop > Run as Administrator.) > Reinstall the game from a fresh download > Test.
