Mass effect legendary - FPS capped at 60 in 4k

pc specs:

AMD 5800x

Sapphire 6800xt nitro

32g 3600mhz C15

In ME1 currently, the game is flatlined at 60fps in 4k. I know I can run faster than this and I am shooting for 120 fps.

I have turned off v-sync In game and set the frame cap for 120. V-sync is set to always off in Radeon CCC.

Cannot figure out how to remove this fps cap. Any help would be appreciated.

    This has been resolved:

I opened mass effect, opened task manager, right clicked ME, and went to properties.

On the compatibility tab, I clicked to override high DPI scaling behavior, and selected performed by Application.

Also disabled full screen optimization and selected to run as administrator.

Relaunched ME and I am now getting 120fps pretty solidly.

Not sure why these settings were causing it to lock at 60 fps though.

  • Is there a way for me to undo that method you tried? I tried that method on Task Manager and now my ME LE won't launch anymore.
