Tried running Origin as an Admin and ME works now.
I've rolled back to the previous driver, no luck. Uninstalled then reinstalled the game, no luck. Restored my pc to a point 3 days before this started happening, and still no luck. I've also ran 'repair install' in Origin and still no luck.

am having the same problem...mass effect won't start. Wat do u mean by running Origin as admin?
If the program is already running close it.
1) Mouse over the icon and right click to bring up the menu.
2) From the menu select "Run as administrator".
Same thing happened to me.
Closed Origin and ran Origin as administrator and then it worked.
**bleep**, mine still won't work, even after running as administrator. What now?
I have spent up to 4 hours searching and testing fixes to this problem, NOTHING works. lets face it, the game is dead. and the hacks on EA haven't got a clue of what to do. :robotmad:

There are two stickies on top. One is about the patch and the Administrative Rights, the other is about providing a full set of diagnostic information. A poor quality graphics solution is SUPPOSED to fail, that's the nature of buying the cheap stuff. The programmers should have included a failure error message, and did not do so. That is inexcusable.
All of that is entirely beside the point when you want to complain. This place is unofficial. The answers are from fellow gamers, and complaints about getting no answer have no reason to exist based on that.

Did not work here. I have even tried to run ME in admin and in xp compability mode without luck.

1.Closing ORIGIN,
2.then Running Origin as Administrator then launching
I have tried everything suggested and the game still won't start. Even worse is the fact that I had to download it because it doesn't want to load from my discs. The game runs fine, but if you leave it in the menu for to long it crashes, I can't even get as far as making a new character . Any assistance would be great
Community Admin@BLaCKoNi323 When the game crashes, do you get an error message?
If you restart with a Clean Boot does that have any effect on the issue?
