Hey hey! Recently re-installed my Mass Effect on a new Alienware computer. Worked perfectly on my last computer, but for some reason it won't launch now. Uninstalled and re-installed a couple of times, uninstalled and re-installed Origin a couple of times too, but whenever I try to launch Mass Effect, it says, "Game Launching", that window dissapears, and then nothing happens. Please someone help this technologically disinclined individual!
Did you install patch 1.02?
You've got that right. 😕mileywink: Did that a couple of times too. Thing is, it worked perfectly on my old computer, which was also alienware, windows 8. System is identicle, so go figure. Had to return that one because the speakers and bluetooth were faulty. Hope I don't have to return this one too. ☹️
Okay, now it seems like the whole system is of the opinion that the game isnt' installed, despite the fact that it's right there, in my control panel under Uninstall/Install programs, and in my program files, and the thing said "Install sucessful" one every occasion that I installed it... again and again... I know the game's not faulty, because it was working on my other almost-identicle computer. Try to download a patch, please install the game... Sigh... I'm led to believe there's a problem with Origin. ...Maybe because it's not steam. 😉
