ME1 Bring down the Sky DLC

I've followed the steps that these two have outlined, but I have received a message saying installation cancelled. I'm pretty sure that means the Cd listed is off. Anyway, on the Bioware social website, I don't even have the option to register ME1, all I see are options to register ME2, 3 and Dragon age. Am I missing something?
