I'm having the same issue. Just started my first playthrough of ME2LE and none of the background music is playing. From the first cutscene with Miranda and IM all way through the Normandy being destroyed. Sound effects and dialogue are working just not the background music. I've updated my drivers, restarted the game, changed the audio output device, messed with the settings (even restored back to default) and changed the window mode from full screen. Nothing has helped and this needs to be addressed.
Nevermind. I found the issue. I had deleted the DLC folder for the god awful Genesis comic. Apparently some of the audio files are in that folder because the DLC modifies most of the game's intro. Real shame that those DLCs are included in the first place.
