ME:LE 3 won't launch

Hi! I've tried just about everything so as a last resort i'm gonna ask help from here. Two things of note: i'm playing on pc and my game is on an external hard drive. Been playing for a long time, and haven't had many issues before. About a week ago my ME:LE just deleted itself from Steam, saying it wasn't installed anymore. Installed it again and went to play as normal, but the game wouldn't launch. The launcher itself works fine, but when i try to load the last save, it lags and crashes at the loading screen, taking me back to the launcher. I'm currently playing ME3, and it seems like the problem is with that game specifically, because i tried starting new ME1 and 2 saves and there were no problems with either of them.

What i have tried so far:

  • deleted the game and installed it again (multiple times)
  • updates my graphics cards
  • moved it to my computers internal drive
  • tried launching it straight from the .exe file
  • verified the game files (multiple times)
  • cleared EA app's cache

Tried basically everything that came up when googling this problem. If there is anyone who could help with this i'd be very grateful.

    Yes, that was the idea.

Did the game launch after you removed the save files?

Sorry, my bad, I used the Macro for the Original ME3, not for the MELE.

Just move the "Save" folder as I outlined in my last post and test.

I'm not sure that is the same Biogame folder.  I have two (one in the documents path Holger mentioned (KB's and includes the .ini files), the other is where the game files are (~20GB).  I'm thinking he means the small one?  Better double-check with holger1405.

So it seems like there is no BIOGame folder in my Bioware folder, only the save folder. I can find the BIOGame folder elsewhere though. Not sure why it is not there.

Here's the info, its in Finnish though so i hope that's okay.

      That's fine.

      1. Make sure Steam and EA app are closed.
      2. Disable the internet connection of your PC.
      3. Go to your "C:\Users\<Your User Name>\Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect 3” folder.
      4. Move the "Save" folder and the "BIOGame” folder to your desktop. (The folders must be gone from the original path!)
      5. Test the game.

Please add a DxDiag to your next reply.

A DxDiag is an overview of your PCs technical features and recent software errors.
There is no personal info in it expect for the “Machine name” in the second row.
(You might delete the “Machine name” and “Machine Id” line if you wish too.)

    How to create a DxDiag:

    1. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
    2. Copy and past or type "DxDiag" in the new field. (Without the quotes) > ENTER
    3. Wait until the green bar is gone > Click on "Save all information"
    4. Save the file to your desktop.
    5. Here at EA Forum > Click Replay > Click the paper clip icon at the bottom of the replay Window.
    6. Navigate to the "DxDiag.txt" on your desktop > select the "DxDiag.txt" > click on "Open".
    7. Reply.
