Mass effect legendary new update is bugged. IS THERE A WAY TO UNINSTALL THE NEW UPDATE??? I can't save and continue if I get killed. Upon dying I'm taken back to the save I had when I updated. I found this out TWICE in 6hours. The first time I thought well ok, and started from my last save. I've saved ( quick save and regular save many times in a 6 hour play. When I was killed it took me back to when I updated, 6 hours before. 6 hours of play and ALL gone. the saves were gone and are NOT in my save game file either ( I'm currently playing Mass Effect 2 Legendary) If possible let me dump this new update or fix this issue! thank you it was 6 hours later when I made my last save than is listed in this folder I am playing in NORMAL mode CM Edit: Do not attach .rar files to any post on AHQ.

I got it saving. I put Mass Effect 2 saves and the whole Mass effect into exclusions. I also Disabled Windows defender and Windows security. Took forever to find the exclusions. Something in the new update is different for Mass Effect 2. But I'm now finally able to save. THANK YOU EVERYONE for all your help. It took all your feedback to get me thinking what could possibly not allow it to work. And I did try all the ideas 🙂 Thank you again Ed

@edtheaminal Do you play on PC, and if so, do you have cloud saving enabled within Origin? Try disabling that, but first, copy your saves elsewhere on your computer as a backup. Then see if you can save your progress. You don't need to play much: if a new save is created, the timestamp will make it obvious.

As far as I know I don't use cloud saves. All my saves are on my G drive. like always. I looked in the file folder and ALL my new saves are gone. The last listed save is the time/date that I added the update. I'd be just as happy uninstalling this last update but I doubt the have that as an option. I'll look into that cloud save thing and disable it then replay a mission and die. See what happens then. Thank you for the idea I'll keep it updated on this thread.

Just save and look into your save folder, if the game did saved the game will be there.

The path to the safe folder is G:\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Save\?

@holger1405 I just turned off Cloud storage. My ingame menu said I had a save but my folder isn't showing. As soon as the folders copy is done copying I'll rename it and try the game and see what happens

Make sure your anti-virus isn't interfering in the saves. I know AV has caused issues with photo mode, and previous games from Bioware.

White list your saves folder or disable your AV as a test.

Well It isn't saving at all. Cloud is turned off, done to try to save. NADA No difference! I saved my game auto/quick and a regular save. It is NOT showing up in my save folder. SO there is no way to save my games since this update. Any ideas? I also Paused My Kaspersky Protection. My Windows security for Mass Effect is set for Moderate so it won't get in the way. Like I asked before, Any Ideas??? ☹️

@edtheaminal Please list the full path to the Save folder, as Holger1405 requested. And let us know whether you've redirected Documents to G or done something else to move the MELE user data folder.

Please also let us know whether you use OneDrive.

This might be a wider issue. I’m on Xbox one and the saves also aren’t working. Fortunately I can at least save (and then hit resume to load it from the launcher), but there’s nit way to look at the save info or load any saves (nothing is displayed…).

Was absolutely fine until the update. This is in ME2; number 1 seems fine.

C:\Users\end-user\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Save\ME2 That is my savegame folder . below are my savegame files in folder. You will notice the date of the last save. #37 it is right after that that I decided to update my game. I wrote to Origin about this but as yet have received NO reply. ( not surprising) but I really would like to play my game. This location is where I've always saved my games.
