PS3 ME1 character to ME2 import

Question

I own the PSN ME1, and the ME2 disk. Ive tried uninstalling everything from ME2 and reinstalling it. Ive been on the phone for hours with EA and no results. All i want as a fan of the series is an authentic play-through. Has there ever been a solution or is bying a whole new system and whole new series set the only real option because im really getting frustrated.

To import your ME1 save you need to install the latest update for Mass Effect 2. You can do this by just starting up ME2 while signed into PSN and you'll be prompted to download &amp; install the update. If this doesn't work there may be some other issue occuring.
