Removing all the many bugs that come along with it. Making it so that you can explore Meridian at least. That was disappointing. 'Hey, we crashed here. Well this is our home even though we know nothing about it. Nothing to see here. All is normal.' What the *?
Yessss an entire remnant construct, hell yes I wanna explore it.
- I reckon there will actually be DLC for meridian

There is a lot of thinfs there could be dlc fpr but unless they plan to dlc this game for longer or do a second game with the Ryder twins I don't think it can all be covered.
It wouldnt make sense to cure mum without the twins and the Benefactor reveal makes more sense with the too imo,. And the quarian arc seems to be a fairly pressing thing..
Of course then there is folks like me hoping for more crew and romance stuff and now meridian. Eek.

You don't think the wonder twins (at least on and off) will carry over for the series? If all I got to do with this character is shape my crew into a pathfinding team and be harangued for a game I am going to be cranky. I am NOT doing it for a second time with my twin as DLC.

They might make appearances
But that wouldn't be as good if curing mum if not done with them. Same for the Benefactor reveal imo. They weren't planing on making a trilogy with the twins which suggested to me a stand alone. I seriously hopemthey change their minds, I love the Ryders I don’t just want dlc with them - I want more games with them and their crew (and maybe some new folks in the future). Stand-alone are never as good for feeling that connection to characters imo.
Dragon Age is stand alone and while I enjoy the story, I never feel as much of a connection to the protag and sqaud members as I did in ME.

so, they don't plan to put the ryders in the next MEA title? seriously? just, no... give them back damit. they may not be perfect, but i don't want to start hopping protagonists again, just like about any other game there is, just no. that's what made mass effect unique, that the story continues with the evolving characters and their ever evolving stats that we painstakingly created (well painstakingly for me).

Yeah, it was stated ages ago that they didn't plan on making Andromeda a trilogy.
Then again, they also said they didn't plan DLC either.
Things change- hopefully.
While there will be games set in andromeda - a trilogy wasn't planned. ☹️
The one thing that always made ME stand above the rest tbh. I hope we get at least one more game with them but won't hold my breath ☹️

I am simply dumbfounded. While it might make story sense to have us play the unready people who create the second wave of problems in the galaxy for some future playable character to clean up it also makes as much sense as making the second game a prequel where you play as Tann.
Just no. Asking me to buy DLC to resolve all those plothooks or get any playtime with people that may actually listen to me... I got the Tann/Mordo stutter going on. If that's it then I *am* done with all of it. 😞
IF that's the whole Ryder story it wasn't a very good one - and I can't imagine anyone thinking it works as a good story as standalone.

if they really take MEA down that route... i'm just done. with mass effect, and bioware in it's entirety. if this is the best they can do with the franchise, they've just proven they are clueless, arrogant, blind, ignorant, money grubbing, fools... far beyond redemption.

Calm down, people, let's not just overreact right now. Things haven't even gone that far yet, nor we have really confirmed information, mostly hinted, and they could go both ways: stand alone with only DLCs (which I concur would be lousy, unexpected and top-disappointing beyond worst expectations), OR stand alone to prepare for a new saga (1, 2, 3 games, depending on the amount of failure | evolution they present thereon in).
Whatever they do, then we act accordingly, but I think we shouldn't get distressed over things that haven't happened yet. We have already our daily quota of stuff to deal with, right?
So, let me prompt back our topic.
Before reading some replies, I had really forgotten Meridian and Habitat 7 post-game. Those are really great hooks for additional content and unlockable stuff. Just need to make it worthwhile.
Wear a bonus Addison Face-Tired Mask. That would be fun. They could concede they screwed up with that conversation, gave reaons for billions of memes, but could also make a mask you could wear in NG+ with Addison's face tired, prompting small conversations like: "Really?" "What the hell?" And, of course, bits of Exchange with Addison herself, begging you to stop wearing that.
Ok, that was the most stupid idea I ever had so far.

What about a Fast Forward Mission log?
Most of us surely like replaying the whole game. But given there's a lot to do and there's a great deal of missions that are downright boring and annoying, what if in a NG+, all missions you did in the previous game, side missions, that is, could be fast forwarded?
