Hi there, i recently had this issue except with Mass Effect 3 refusing to even start downloading.
The advice i seen was to download Origin app, and install Mass Effect that way, and this worked for me, and it shows up as playable in the EAplay app now.
Then you're apparently supposed to close the Origin app and use the EAplay app to play it.This is on Windows 10 64bit, but it should help you for Windows 11 too.
I was given this suggestion, too. Unfortunately, I cannot go back to Origin, as it forces me to update. Upon installing and opening Origin, I am presented with this:
It will not let me do anything except update/install the EA app, press Learn More, or quit Origin. This happens regardless if the EA app is not installed or if I install Origin after installing the EA app.
@FaceCombat (and others):
Seems like a common problem ... and three of these posts have been started on it in last couple of weeks.
Please see my potential workaround in the other thread:

I have confirmed that this works. Thank you! Since this is just a workaround to use Origin instead of the EA app, I'm still going to keep this thread going until a proper fix is released, because who knows if/when Origin will completely go down.
As a side note, if anyone needs to download Origin, you can do so here.
