Ultra rare Krogan Gladiator, but no detonator?

What the title says. Finally got Gladiator II, but it's surprisingly underwhelming for something that's supposed to be ultra rare. Sure it's a tank, but then I would have used the Turian Soldier. I'm missing something like throw, lance or shockwave. Or are there people who enjoy just priming targets without wrecking them?
