Unable to connect to server?

Hi! So although I've checked my internet repeatedly and found to problems, I keep getting a message that the ME3 server is unavailable? I wouldn't mind so much, except this means the game can't or won't check my DLC and I can't load any of my saved games.

    Hello,

Also having this issue, but as well as having cloud running I also save constantly to my computer.  I have no issues running the game or with content, however.  I am curious what is the problem with your content because it does not sound like that error message is just the problem.  Have you patched or checked for patches you may not have?  This also may be an issue as to why content would not work.  Like I said, I have the same message, but it is not affecting my game at all other than the message showing when I first try to play (even before I choose a profile).  Try seeing if there are any patches at the bioware social site, then try again and let others know if you are still having content playing issues.  I am wondering where I get this message if it is just a bug or if EA servers do not respond right away perhaps... It has never been problematic to my saved games so I kind of just ignore it.  I saw your post though, so wanted to try to help if I could.  Let me know if patching works or not for your content/playing issue.

I've checked through Origin for updates. I've also tried to repair the install. Both informed me all my files were current and there was nothing corrupt or missing. I can launch an entirely new game, but trying to load a saved game gives me an error message. There's also an error message on the main screen informing me that my DLC can't be verified (which is why I can't launch the saves)

    Hi. PC user here.

I'm also having trouble logging into the EA servers. I think this started about a week ago for me. I originally had extreme trouble getting logged into the FIFA13 EA servers. Sometimes getting through. At the same time I could never log into the Cerberus network on ME2 (I play through Steam). This didn't bother me too much as I was just at the end of my second playthrough of ME2. As I've now finished ME2 again, I wanted to buy the DLC's for ME3 and start my second playthrough there as well, but it's the same problem as with ME2. Can't log into the EA servers. As this game is on Origin, I really can't fathom what's wrong on my end. These games were working fine not long ago. No issues with EA servers (except hic-ups with FIFA13, but that's been consistently bad). I haven't done anything drastic with my computer either that I can remember... Just normal stuff like AVG updates, graphic card drivers, windows updates etc.

So, no solution from me, but I wanted to let you know that you're not alone.

PS: The games run fine though (except FIFA13), so no big worries, except for getting DLC's for ME3.

PPS: Come to think of it, my Steam account is acting up as well... Always being in offline mode. Hmm.

  • I play ME2 and ME3 on Xbox 360 and have similar issues on occaision. However, given time... and an alt. profile to triple check everything the problem usually sorts itself out. However it always returns. In the short run I try and fix it by old fashioned cache clears and even game wipes, I know reloading every piece of ME3 can be like getting a tooth removed especially if you install the discs. If you're on the 360 like me, thoroughly check for any associated data that may be corrupt. Sometimes and I don't know why, my avatar items become corrupted(earned from ME3) and mess with the whole picture. Take into account that EA has been transitioning into using Origin more and that could effect things. By the way and this is just my opinion, stay away from "the cloud" I've had nothing but trouble with it. Especially with the Mass Effect games. For anything further I really think this needs the attention of an admin.

    @theguasardilemma

Currently my box copy is working fine, although I don't actually have it connected to the internet at the moment. It's only the PC copy (which I prefer to play) that is giving me trouble.

Aha. I found the solution to my problem. I can't believe I didn't try it earlier.

I just turned my router off and on again. Voila, everything is back to normal for me.

I did try unplugging the internet cable from my PC many times before though, just didn't think of restarting the router.

Hi, I'm also having the same problem. Whenever I try to use the galaxy at war to raise my galactic readiness, I get the "servers are unavailable please try again later" message. But when I try to play ME3, I can connect just fine. It's been like this since this morning. Please help.. Thanks.

    Edit:

Finally managed to connect to servers. Just needed to re-sync my account.😕mileyembarrassed:

I am also apparently having issues with this message now on Dragon Age games (in mid-game even) so I am wondering if the servers are having issues or something.  It still does not seem to affect my gameplay at all in any of the games though, but it is making me wonder if something is wrong with EA servers in general (they will never admit it is on their end...I know this from experience many times over) and I know they are having trouble admittedly with FIFA at moment so it is possible they are not aware it goes beyond that perhaps...I really do not know and can only suppose.  My last suggestion is this then: make copies of your saved games you have already and store them safely elsewhere on or off (best bet is to store off computer imho, like I do with external drive) your computer and reinstall the games and patches that go with them.  Then paste the saved files into the new saved folders of the games ad see if that helps.  I highly recommend, you do the "saved switcheroo" BEFORE you start playing the games off of the fresh reinstalls.  Just try it and see.  If this still does not work, then you have major issues with your system and perhaps the EA servers contributing to the issue that I nor anyone here can help you with without actually seeing your comp physically.  I am an IT hardware/software specialist in training at moment, but without physical access there is no way I can try to help you further than suggesting the above.  I wish you luck and hope you get this resolved.

  • It may only be certain games. With Mass Effect 3 playing the actual game online is fine for me and everyone else I know that plays it. The only problems I or anyone else I know of has had is accessing the servers or syncing the map. Accessing the servers is actually, usually a problem with Xbox Live. Syncing the map is usually an account problem with Origin. Many people I play with, play it on the 360, with that in hand pc gamers are luckier. You cannot always expect to pluck a save from your 360 and not have it corrupt or simply be inaccessable without moving your entire in-game profile from ME3.
