Unable to locate configuration file

I have been playing ME Legendary Edition via EA Desktop, via the EA Play subscription service. Everywhere I look online, I am told the configuration file should be located here C:\Program Files\EA...

@holger1405 Yes installing it onto another drive/location seemed to have worked.

Unknown, if the solution is due to it being in another location, or if it any ole reinstall woulda fixed it. If I was a betting man, I'd say it was likely, that the location was the problem.

Yeah, it had to be there, without it the game would not work.

Is that "BIOWeapon.ini?"

I assumed from the start that some permission isuue is the problem, the "C:\Program Files (x86)" and "C:\Program Files" folder have special protection inside Windows.
(It normally still should work.)
That is why I said it might be possible that the game reads directly from the "Coalesced_INT.bin", or the language variants if you play the game in a different language than English, if it can't find a "Config" folder.

Installing it to another drive could very well solve the problem.
