Octopus Essence glitch

Lately when playing the game, I’ve been having trouble collecting the octopus essence. When I try to fish for it, the bobber just stays in the water until the bubbles disappear. When I try to get it from the sink, it stacks on top of each other where the faucet is making it unable to reach.
