+1, from EA play client (via Xbox gamepass). Tried damn near everything in different combinations. Even tried manually copying over the MSVCP100.dll files into the sys folders, no dice.
Fresh install a month or so ago, hardly used it since I upgraded and reloaded. Playing a wide variety of games now aged 1994 to today. Have had zero issues, save this game. ☹️

I have done exactly the same troubleshooting as in your first post and was also getting frustrated, it also wouldnt let me open a Case with EA as when i selected "Game doesnt Launch" as a support option it Eggtimes and never brings up the Support page.
Headed over here and tried that Exact installer Posted above and I am now also working thanks very much
