Car wont Drive?

so i just bought the game from Ps4 Store, however after running the game and choosing a racer. when it will teach you how to drive it wont Drive, R2 wont work. R2 works in other games however not in ...

    Hello Tom! Thanks for your kind reply. It was indeed the case with my controller. So strange, because i play alot of Fifa and i use the R2 button for sprint and it just works. Other games i don't have problems as well. I borrowed a controller from a friend of mine and....the speed is back up!
    So wonderful, the first missions now winning at easy instead of finishing last with +- 20 seconds difference 😉

    Time for me to buy a new controller :D

I have the exact same issue, just bought of store on ps4 and the car will not budge. Wont move at all either as cop or racer. How can this even pass sonys submission process! To say im angry that £55 triple A product is released like this is understatement. EA is not having a good track record so far on nextgen platforms :-/

    Same issue here, EA support seem to be in the dark about this issue. Said they'd never heard of it before. Recommended reinstalling and said that the controller mapping must have been fu**ed up in install or something.

      thats a load of bull never heard of it controller screw up they work for other games just not nfs ea this should be your top priority right now.

    If this issue requires a patch then it will be long time comming. As the holidays approach I suspect no one is going to be looking into this problem until after the new year.

    Has anyone tried to contact sony about a refund on psn? I have emailed them about the broken state of the digital download and will let you know how I get on.

      Getting exactly the same issue with my digital copy. Has anyone found a solution yet? I notice the OP posted this only today - I'm wondering if the issue is newly introduced. So annoying.

        After numerous attempts after numerous PS4 restarts, I did manage to get R2 to work..... for about three minutes, and the game froze.

        I've deleted the game and am currently redownloading. I'll try again with a fresh install and report back.

    I'm having the exact same issue - I've now redownloaded five or six times with no improvement.

    EA is such a careless developer. Feels like every time, I give them another chance, and every time their games are broken at release and never fixed. This will be the last time I spend money on an EA product, that's for sure.
