Drag racing really??

Right first things first this isn't as much of a complaint because I still got on with the game and did it but this is more of a why EA? Sorta deal.

Firstly Drag races.... in what world do drag races involve any form of cornering let alone several KM's/Miles of S-Bends!? Im genuinely asking because I go to drag races on the regular and not once have I ever seen a drag car go around a corner at speed while drag racing and if they are turning... its usually not intended. Which leads me to my next question/gripe(whatever you want to call it)

The cars.... again in what world do you see drag cars that have more hypercars than classic muscles cars!? Im not discounting that hypercars arent used in drags but I see maybe a handful of cars like lambos/audi R8s/ferrari's etc compared to the hundreds of muscle cars, even more JDM cars than hypercars are at drag races.... so why would you go make it that the cars like every lambo/BMW etc can go to 399 but all the classic cars you would see more common at a drag race like the charger/camaro etc can only go to 300, literally means those cars miss an entire league of drag races! Even straying away from the classic car side of it, you made it that the new challenger can only go to 300 but the new camaro and new mustang can go to 399 like what!? Dodge just released the demon which is a psychotic fun little drag racing death trap on steriods all bundled into that little pedal called the gas pedal and yet you still! Still made the challenger go to 300!? Like is there a new camaro or mustang that was just released that out of the factory pulls a 9.62 down the quarter mile that I havent heard about!? (I know shelby just released the shelby 1000 but as far as im aware theres been no drag times from that yet) Anyways straying back to the subject at hand, all im saying is that I think the limits for the cars seems like it has not had a lot of thought put into it.

Maybe its just me and maybe its biased as I am in a muscle car club but In my experience I would say that the majority of cars I see at drags are muscle cars and JDM cars like supras etc its much more rare to see a hypercar/supercar at a drag. So I guess in summary please bring those cars to the same level for drags not saying it has to be for every spec but muscle cars and JDM cars should absolutely have an equal chance of competing in 300+ for drag races and please next time you think of making need for speed have drag races actually make them drag races not just street races in over powered cars that have trouble turning

My final note is less of a gripe and more of a plead, that is please can you add a hood that has a bug-catcher on it for cars like the charger/camaro ss etc and an even smaller gripe can you make the butterflies on the bug-catcher actually work.

Sincerley/much love/whatever tickles your pickle

  • I am Playing Need for Speed since Need For Speed II SE. I always like Need for Speed Drag Racing game play. First of all agreed. when I played Time Trial in Drag class, I was talking to my self in where Drag can do Circuits time trials?

Best part I always like Need For Speed Drag Racing game play. You have to change only lanes. If I recall Underground 2. Some of Train Yard Drag races have to reply a lot of times, even you have to change only lanes not to steer the car.

Maybe in next Need For Speed titles that will be back.

    Much Love.

  • I'm fine with the tracks having a few slight bends, but the "normal" race you have to do in the drag car is just *. At a certain power level anytime you accelerate after a corner the front goes up and you steer into some traffic if you don't immediately brake again. It's insane.

That would be nice to have back, i also wondered why the drag cars did circuits and sprints (guess they wanted to change it up a bit, but that's what the race car leagues were for)

  • Couldn’t agree more. I am dying to use the ‘69 Charger but had to settle for the C7 Vette as it

goes to 399 rather than 300.

I think the whole 300/399 index thing is severely flawed. The cars that are put into each category are all over the place. Impreza should be 399 for off-road, not sure Lambos should even be available for drift and online should have a 300 index league and a 399 index league for some variety. Similar to Forza in that sense (R class, S, A, B etc) except only two leagues.

At least I would like to have aone drag-track which is just straight without any kurve or hop and without trafic and parked cars in my lane ... Just to do a drag race just concentrating to shifting and a perfect time ... maybe EA can patch it in?
